A recent study by the Corporation for National and Community Service found that volunteerism is at a 30 year high. Yes--- a 30 year high!
While I think this is great news and quite important, unfortunately the Washington Post only has one paragraph about it.
Notably, 1 in 4 adults give their time to help people or organizations in their community. Over the last 30 years, teens have dramatically increased their level of involvement. Today more than 28% of teens volunteer. Baby boomers are also experiencing a big increase in volunteering--- big as in a whopping 37%.
Take a moment to just imagine all the great things that are getting done for communities all around the nation. See... small things do make a big difference.
