Gratitude and thankfulness are things I try to keep at the forefront of my life. I am thankful for all the changes my new daughter has brought to my life. Most of all, I am thankful that as I have placed her as a major priority in my life that my new business has actually thrived. Honestly, I thought that the opposite would actually happen.
However, ---now this is not a complaint--- I have found that my extra time to fiddle with my own frustrating technical problems has virtually disappeared (read: dealing with a new hosting service and and endless supply of breaks for my wordpress blog and not to mention the truckload of problems that came with having to switch hosts). My troubleshooting energy is now spent on customers and this is exactly the problem I want to have. However, the harsh reality of many hours of nonproductive time and my immediate desire to get back to blogging on issues I care about have led me to the decision to just hold the old blog as an archives and pick up where I left off here.
If this is terribly confusing... I sorry. I just finally realized that some battles are just not worth the efforts--- especially when they become something you dread and take you away from where your heart really wants to be.
So-- the lesson here is to keep it simple! So I have chosen to move to the old tried and true Typepad. With my Dollar Philanthropy blog, I was paying for advanced features anyway... so why not add another blog to the account. The downside is that the URL is awful. However, I have a tenative plan to fix that... but there are several things I need to do before that happens.
For most of my readers--- for any who are left after months of blog abandonment--- I hope that this simply means a 5 minute hassle of subscribing to a new feed. Please know that if my plan goes like it should, you should not have to switch feeds again.
Thanks and as always, I look forward to the discussion.
Carol
